ATTENDANCE

Regular school attendance is important for students to achieve their educational potential. The government target is that 80% of students will be regularly attending school by 2030.
In 2025, with significant absences through illness in particular, our “Regular” attendance sat at 53%. We hope to increase this to at least 70% across the year in 2026.

At Woodbury School, learning is grounded in strong relationships, high expectations, and a deep connection to our rural community. We are committed to nurturing confident, capable learners who are curious about the world, proud of who they are, and prepared to make a positive contribution to their future.

Our vision is to provide a rich and engaging learning environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive academically, socially, culturally, and emotionally. Through strong partnerships with whānau, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a focus on wellbeing and belonging, we empower our students to grow as resilient, respectful, and responsible learners.

This strategic plan outlines our priorities and aspirations as we continue to build on the strengths of our school, honour our community's values, and create meaningful opportunities for every child to succeed. Together, we are shaping a future where learning is purposeful, connected, and inspired.
