Kia ora koutou,

My name is Mike de Joux, and I am proud to have been the principal at Woodbury School since 2018.

Woodbury school is a five-teacher primary school in a beautiful rural setting at the foothills of the Four Peaks Range.

We are proud of our country character and our provision of a well-balanced education in a friendly and supportive community environment. We cater for around 120 Year 1-6 students and are a contributing school to Geraldine High School.

The school grounds are planted with a mixture of old established trees and New Zealand natives, making it a pleasant place for the children to play and socialise. Features include an extensive playground with a large plantation for creative play, a challenging "low level" ropes course, a covered swimming pool, vegetable gardens, fruit trees and BMX track.

A family atmosphere prevails throughout the school and parents are encouraged to have involvement in all school activities. Annual events include a Flower and Craft Show, Pet Show, Triathlon, Cross Country, Athletic Sports, and Matariki Celebration, all of which are well-supported by the whole school community. We have a very active Home and School parent group who enable our students and teachers to be well supported in teaching and learning.

If you're interested in finding out more about our school, please email, phone or call in.
